What is your question?
when put into any gear the car makes a ginding noise, even when sitting still.as if noise were coming off the flywheel. The trans seems to be shifting find and does not appear to be slipping. Noise in stops instantly when put in park or neutral.

Your transmission is going. Honda knows about the issue but refuse to help. I have an 05 civic hybrid with the same exact issue. The 03-05 civic hybrid transmissions have the same problem. Dealers don't know how to repair them. They'll sell you a new CVT transmission at a cost of about $5000. They know the 03-05 CVT transmission is garbage. There is a recall on them in Japan where they are manufactured but not in the US. Our government allows them to sell a defective vehicle.
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM BUT NOT WHEN IN PARK OR NEUTRAL..CAN SOMEONE HELP THE BOTH OF US..
Could someone help all 3 of us!??? I am having the same issues as well, except my car doesn't make a grinding noise while in sitting or in park. My 2003 Honda Civic hybrid makes a grinding noise when I first take off and give the car a little gas (after stoplights and stop signs, etc.) and when the car is moving in reverse. I also have a continuous clicking sound coming from the front of the vehicle (hood area) after I turn to car off. Is anyone else having these issues and what should I do to fix them??? Are there any extended warranties out that cover repairs on used vehicles?
