What is your question?
I have a 2002 Honda Civic. It has been overheating (temperature gage on dash goes all the way up) for a year. I had the thermostat replaced and 2 caps and had several pressure tests and no leak could be found. The water or antifreeze comes out of the cap even sometimes after it’s sat all night. A mechanic saw my hood up last week and put water in the radiator while it was running to get the air out. I was ok for a week and I drive a lot in 1 week because my 2nd job is delivering food. Today my temperature gage went to the top again. Before the mechanic purged it, I had to put water in the radiator about every 20 miles. It started out as months apart and got more frequent. It creaks when I stop sometimes.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It’s worse when I drive more miles in a row.
How long has your 2002 Honda Civic had this problem?
A year but didn’t happen as often

Hello, just reading your first line, I'm concerned that with repetitive overheating, damage to engine components may have occurred. It kind of sounds like there is an internal engine coolant leak which could be a serious problem. This may not have been the original fault, but probably is now with continued overheating. Ensuring the cooling fan is working is important also, as well as purging air out of the cooling system.
