What is your question?
Is it worth it buy my own parts for a timing belt/water pump replacement? If so, what parts do I need other than the obvious two? Gaskets? Tensioner?

you will save money but if a shop installs them for you, there will be no warranty on anything. you buy the parts, you take responsibility for all warranty. pay the extra for the parts and get a warranty. Roy
Just called my mechanic and his price was pretty reasonable. If he makes a couple extra bucks marking up some parts, I'll live. Thanks for the advice.
