I stopped after hearing a screech and smelling something burning only to find my AC belt all but ripped off. Can you help me with a diagram or picture please!!!

Before replacing the belt have you looked to see if the air conditioning compressor or any other pulley bearing has seized causing the engine to shed off the fan belt? look at : http://www.autozone.com/N,316281/initialAction,repairGuide/shopping/repairGuideVehicleSelect3.htm and enter your car details you will find the fan belt routing there.
