What is your question?
Well I have a bad alternator and the battery dies sometimes and it's brand new. Will unplugging it while not in use last a while? I need it today and it's important.
What makes this problem better or worse?
I unplug the batter
How long has your 1999 Honda Civic had this problem?
Few days

NO! Your alternator is bad and the battery will be drained every time you drive it. Disconnecting the battery while not in use won't help because the vehicle is not running,so there will be no drain on the battery, only when you drive it and it will stall on you at some point, then you will have a tow bill. don't drive it until you buy an alternator!
