I just bought a 98 Civic DX the speedometer doesn't work but the gas gauge and temp gauge do, why is that? Also what type of fuses are used on this car, my instrument lights do not work and i don't know what kind of fuses are used or if it is even a fuse? HELP?! THANKS :]

There is a fuse box under the hood and a fuse box under the dash on the driver's side. The fuses are a standard type fuse used by many Asian cars, it is a good idea to have spares but the fuse box probably has a few spare fuses in it unless the previous owner has used them. Dash lights are protected by a 7.5 amp fuse #30 marked instrument lights in the under dash fuse box. Speedometer failure may be due to a failed Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) mounted on top /rear of the gear box.
