Hello, are you still having diagnostic trouble codes related to EGR flow? In many cases, the passages for exhaust gas flow may be full of carbon, causing restriction. This can be the root cause even more than a "faulty EGR valve". This is all totally a guess, as I don't know what, if any, diagnostic trouble codes you retrieved, and the cause for pursuing replacement of the EGR valve in the first place. Post some information regarding that and maybe we could offer more assistance?
