It could be anything, from minor to major. Since you just passed emissions, it's most likely to be something relatively minor, but you never know. The best thing is to take it in to a good diagnostic tech soon. Early diagnosis and fixing of these problem can save in the long run.

just took it to mechanic. code 1705 showed up, transmission code. He said it was a blip when shifting, and will reset it. what do you think. Car just passed emissions about 6 wks ago.

Sounds good. I would take it as encouraging that your mechanic says it is something minor and is not trying to sell you a massive repair.
