What is your question?
I have a 93 Honda Del Sol with automatic transmission. When braking and only braking there is a hard shit from 2nd to 1st gear. I replaced the shift solenoid but it was from a 95 civic. Starting to get frustrated please help I can't tell if my fluid level is correct do I check with car on or off
What makes this problem better or worse?
Hard braking the faster I stop the longer the grind if i tap the brake it seems to not happen
How long has your 1993 Honda Civic del Sol had this problem?
3 days check engine light was on replaced solenoid and engine light shut off but brake light remained

First, check automatic transmission fluid level and condition with the engine and transmission at operating temperature. Second, the "shift solenoid" -- what part did you replace? The only "solenoid" for this transmission is for torque converter lock up? Everything else is operated hydraulically. Third - never ever interchange parts from different vehicles. It is very likely they are not interchangeable. My gut is that you could have a sticking accumulator piston in the valve body, or something like that. Any way you look at it, your failure is hydraulic, not electronic. Most of the time tear down or partial tear down of the transmission in a clean, controlled environment is necessary. I would suggest getting a specialist involved.
Unless the transmission is manually shifted to a lower gear while stopping - slippage doesn't occur .. Transmission slipping can be detected during acceleration .. Suspect the grinding noise is brake system related .. Hands-on inspection/testing IS required by qualified personnel. â¬›ï¸ https://repairpal.com/repair-shops ⬛ï¸
