What is your question?
On several 1 star reviews the problem is with gas getting into the oil. The reviews said the dealers didn't know what to do about the problem so left them hanging. One review said the majority of CRV's in China were having this problem. I'm considering one so would like to know if this is a frequent occurrence.

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. The issue of fuel diluting the engine oil has been a concern in some turbocharged Honda engines, particularly with the 1.5L turbo found in some CR-V models. This issue was widely reported in colder climates, where shorter trips and lower operating temperatures can exacerbate fuel not fully vaporizing, leading to gas mixing with the oil. For the 2023 CR-V, Honda has implemented updates and design changes to address this concern. However, isolated reports may still occur, especially if the vehicle is used primarily for short trips in cold weather. If you’re seriously considering a CR-V, ask your dealer for details about the 2023 model’s updates and inquire about the warranty’s coverage on engine-related concerns for peace of mind. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
