What causes my horn to start blarring after i crank it up the stops when i turn engine off

Just started last night. My key fob is broken but will still crank my car if I hold it together. Last night after I cranked my car the horn would start going off non stop until I pulled over and cut the engine. After it done it twice my car wouldn't even crank. I got my key fob to lock the doors so I know it wasn't the battery. Could I have done something to the fob to make it go in anti theft mode. If so how can I get the key to re program to the ignition so it will recognize the right key.
What makes this problem better or worse?
