Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! If your new power steering pump is leaking from the same spot as the old one, the issue might not be with the pump itself. It's possible that a damaged or misaligned o-ring, gasket, or hose connection is causing the leak. Also, check the power steering reservoir cap; if it's not venting properly, pressure can build up and force fluid out of the pump. Another thing to consider is the quality of the replacement pump—sometimes, aftermarket parts don't hold up as well as OEM.
