Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Ooooh! This is an easy one! I love Hondas and when those radios go blank it's super frustrating! This code is typically found in the owner's manual, on a sticker inside the glove box, or on a card provided by the dealership at the time of purchase. If you can't locate the code, you may need to retrieve it from Honda's database using the vehicle identification number (VIN) and proof of ownership. Once you have the code, input it using the stereo's keypad to unlock the unit and regain access to the audio system. You can also do this to get the radio's serial number and call your Honda dealer to get the code: With the radio off and the car on, hold the 1 and 6 buttons down and turn the radio on. The radio will display either a whole serial number with the prefix S/N or it will flash a U number and an L number. Write those down, call the dealer and they can give you your code. Remember, don't try entering the incorrect code or pushing random buttons too much. It will lock the radio and the car will reset after two hours. If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554! We'll gladly find you a certified RepairPal shop in your area!
