What is your question?
As we speak my car is at the Honda dealership just got the call it's about $1,700 with labor is this a reasonable cost? I'm going to tears need some answers they're giving me about 30 minutes to make a decision please help thank you.
How long has your 2008 Honda Accord had this problem?
About a month it, the sensor was replaced but now the code came up again VSA light with the engine light and the triangle symbol

For a dealer that seems about right. You can save some money going to an independent shop. Here is a link to find a shop near you. Have the dealer print out the estimate and another shop can give you their quote using that. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops Alex
which engine? The VSA light(Vehicle Stability Assist System) nor the triangle symbol light has nothing to do with the timing chain? if the triangle has an exclamation point,it may have been disabled somehow. if your VSA is disabled you get a constant triangle and ! There is very little trouble with timing chains on the Honda's,if you have the 2.4L,if it's 3.5L 6 cylinder,it has a TIMING BELT. If that dealer is giving you 30 minutes to make a decision for this,I would get that car out of there and get other opinions from local, trusted, independent repair shop(s)! They(the dealer) will put pressure on folks just to get $$$$$,and work done that might not need to be done(I know this for a FACT),(I have tested them several times!)....
Quick note, have to weigh in: 30 minutes isn't fair or reasonable. Any repair facility -- dealership or not -- should respect the client's ability to make an educated decision, regardless of a reasonable time limit. I don't understand the time pressure -- unless the dealership has a deadline to order parts, which can be true -- they need to place an order before 4pm Pacific time, for example, and it could be they'd like to get this done for you in a timely manner. Nonetheless, you should be respected for your ability to make an educated, low pressure decision. Responding directly to 1clubinside's comment: NOT ALL DEALERS "put pressure on folks just to get $$$$$". In fact, most dealers I've ever been affiliated with -- especially mine right now -- are highly ethical and have the utmost of integrity. We know we can "get $$$$$" just by doing the right thing every day with every client. "Local, trusted, independent repair shops" can also "put pressure on folks just to get $$$$$". And, I can say as with 25+ years in the industry in various parts of the country in non-dealer AND dealer operations that there is zero correlation between ethics and integrity and whether the establishment is a dealership or independent facility. Please, all, remember that this is a forum based on "expert" opinion, and perhaps not fact. As a consumer, you have a right to ask questions and make a decision in the time you need, within reason. THAT SAID -- as a director of operations at a Honda dealership myself, I can't remember a time where I replaced the timing chain in a 2.4L 4 cylinder engine in a Honda Accord of any year. This doesn't seem reasonable, and I don't even know what's wrong with your car obviously. It may be prudent to get a second opinion before spending anything further. Good luck.
OWNER! again, I hope you went and got your car and got other opinions! Timing chains require no service and should last the life of the engine, keep your oil changed regularly at specified intervals........
