I have a used 2006 Honda Accord, I bought the car last year and the drivers side window leaks when it rains. Water drips from top of closed window and get the drivers seat and floor wet and leaves bad wet carpet odor. This has been happening since I bought the car but I am tired of it and would like to fix it if I can. Any suggestions would be helpful, thank you!
What makes this problem better or worse?
I put a few layers of paper towel in the window top and roll the window up closed so the paper towel sort of acts as a leak barrier. This sort of helps.

Based on the leak you have described this can be caused by the window channel weather strip being damaged or collapsed to where it would need to be replaced to resolve this concern, or the door weatherstrip where the door seals against the body. Both of these can be common components to wear down over time and leak like this. This concern may also be caused by damage to the window frame area itself to where it may be bent slightly and may need to be readjusted. I recommend having the weatherstrip seals inspected for any damage or wear as well as the door/frame inspected for any damage that may need to be repaired. This is something a reputable shop should be able to inspect and repair for you if needed in your area and in some cases a local automotive body/collision shop may be able to look into and repair this as well.
