What is your question?
Car will randomly slip out of gear while driving and start revving up like it’s in neutral. It also sometime won’t grab gears when changing from park to any other gear.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It seems to get worse the longer I drive, like the transmission is getting hot or something.
How long has your 2006 Honda Accord had this problem?
A couple days, it’s not practical to drive with this issue.

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Accord. Several factors can cause transmission to slip out of gear. If it gets worse as the transmission warms up, it may point to low or contaminated transmission fluid, which can reduce the hydraulic pressure needed to engage the gears. Start by checking the fluid level and condition. A fluid exchange or top-off could help if it's low or dirty. However, slipping gears can also indicate more serious issues like a failing transmission control module, worn clutch packs, or internal mechanical problems that may need a professional diagnosis.
