What is your question?
I can hear it while driving also but just slightly.I've been told this is normal engine noise for hondas.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Noise is pretty much always there.
How long has your 2005 Honda Accord had this problem?

Hello, noises are difficult to discern online here. A qualified, experienced, trained Honda technician can answer definitively when they hear the noise. One thing that could be happening is that your valves in your cylinder head may be making excessive noise. The valves are not automatically adjusting on a Honda -- they must be periodically serviced. At the very minimum, this would be every 100,000 miles or so. However, I've seen this recommended even more frequently, every 60,000 or so, to prevent noise from occurring and engine performance issues as a result. Other possible noises could be from fuel injectors clicking as they inject fuel. Too hard to know until someone has a listen.
Thank You. I just bought the car with 201,000 miles and have no way of knowing if the valves have ever been adjusted. Can engine damage occur from valves not being adjusted right away.
Yes, over time, with excessive valve clearance, damage can occur. Hopefully it has not at this time.
