engine oil leak

Very common problem would be a cam seal leaking. This would run down the front of the engine block and out at the bottom of the timing cover. You would need to remove the cover to verify leak. front crank seal or cam seal will require removing the timing belt. If you have mechanical ability and can follow your manual you will be fine. You may have a had time removing the center bolt on crank damper. They gave godzillia the job of tightening them. I would replace timing belt also at this time if it hasn't been done it is cheap and you already will have it off. seals and timing belt will be under $100.00 seals only about $25.00

You didn't specify which engine you have (2.4L or 3.0L) but if it's the 4 cyl. it does NOT have a timing belt, thus not a cam seal problem. Most common leak from the passenger side (ie. front of the engine) would be the VTEC spool valve which is at the front of the cyl. head facing the firewall. This valve assembly has a rubber seal with a screen mesh filter and the rubber gets rock hard at high mileage/age so it will seep oil from there causing everything below to be wet. It may seem like the oil pressure switch is leaking but if you see oil above the switch, it's not the switch (could be, but you still have to fix the "higher" leak first).
