My Car's Front wheel vibrates when brakes are applied. if Car is moving with greater speed the vibration is more and vice-versa. I believe my Break Pads are worn out. Can anyone provide me the competetive rates to get it repaired/replaced. Appreciate if one could send me the best quote and good shop for the repair. Regards, Samit Fremont, CA - 94536

The rotors are warped. That's what causes the vibration when you apply the brakes. A typical brake job with new pads and machining the rotors will fix the problem. $179.00-225.00

Quite often the antilock brake warning lamp may be triggered because one or more tires on the vehicke has a different diameter. One or more having - low pressure, Mis-matched brand set or size. They may all look good but have a real size difference. ABS works or rotational differences to detect if a wheel or wheel(s) are not turning correctly ( in-sync ) with the others to know how to apply anti-lock braking. A wheel that is not turning in sync with the others is likely going to skid or, lock up making the car untrollable. Anti lock momentairly releases the brake 10s of times a second making a much more controllable vehicle when the brakes are applied with enough pressure to stop one or more wheels. Therefore: it needs wheel turning information from each wheel to know whats happening. If it detects differences in wheel speed for prolonged periods of time ( legnth unknown) because there is instantaineousl info and cruise time info needet to be most effective and is not satisfied, it sets the light and a code. Of course dirty or defective wheel sensors, intermittant abs pump motor, fluid leaks to bad connections and broken wires to other causes can make it set a code. I would start with the simplest. Walk around and inspect tires and consider recent tire service, fall / winter temp change to affect tire pressure. check brands, wear, and pressure before going for the heavy stuff. If those are the problem and you may have corrected it the, ABS module may reset it automaticly (wow!, it can do this for free). But... it may take a couple of hundred miles to average out the distance each wheel has rotated and determine all is ok before turning out the light. Get a free scan if you can from many parts stores and then apply some good logic and reason before spending hundreds on modules and sensors that may not fix your problem. There is a lot that goes on in making the ABS computer,s decisions. Consider what seems real and not bull and who’s telling you. After you have tried what you can, get good trustworthy professional diagnostics and service. You could spend a lot on modules and sensors only to find out it was just after that flat tire you had fixed. Regards, DB Hope this helps.
also how do i fix it THANK YOU
Sorry, the 1.8T is a 1.8 liter, turbocharged four cylinder engine. I have to know which engine you have in the vehicle to get a better idea of what issue the vehicle may be having.
