What is your question?
Recently had service engine light appear. Scanned system and the code read P2422. I know this is related to the emissions system and has a failure somewhere in the cannister or purge solenoid. Is there any way to narrow the problem down or some quick checks i can do?

Could be the gas cap. Make sure it clicks several times after you fill up. Try that first. Remove the gas cap - let it sit open for a few seconds - then put it back on. (again, make sure it clicks several times) Or, it could be a spider web in the EVAP vent hose. I've had both of those issues. Once I didn't put the gas cap on tight enough and the check engine light came on- the next time - There was a spider web in my EVAP vent hose that was enough to trip the check engine light. Google: P2422 Honda Accord Spider Web.
