replacing the drivers side tail light

Depending on your model open the trunk pull back the surrounding trim carpet to gain access to the nuts that retain the lamp (I believe you need a 10mm socket). On some models the first line of instruction for replacement says remove the rear bumper so it implies some bolts/nuts are hidden behind the bumper which seems ridicules.
