What is your question?
I did my car's oil change with a local mechanic and after driving for about 80 miles, the "check engine" light came on. I took my car to the mechanic and with his diagnostic tool, he figured out it was P0700 error (transmission related). He cleared the code, and asked me to take it to the transmission shop for more details. I did not take it to the transmission shop as I could drive just fine without any noticeable changes on how the drive and the shift in gear felt. I have driven about 100 miles after clearing the code and the "check engine light" has not reappeared. Does this mean the "check engine" light was likely due to faulty sensor in the first place? I checked another question on this website regarding P0700 and the answer was to disregard it.
