Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Accord. If you're seeing loose wires near the alternator, it could indicate they were part of a previous repair or have been damaged. Their proper connection is vital to avoid issues like charging system malfunctions or warning lights. The four wires should have different colors. The white/green and white/red wires go to the PCM, the black/yellow wire comes from a fuse under the dash, and the white/blue wire goes to the charging indicator light in the gauge cluster. Consulting a wiring diagram for your car may clarify the purpose of each wire further. If you're uncertain, have a professional inspect and confirm the wiring. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
