The tire axle broke and locked up my steering wheel, how much would it cost to fix

There was a loud screeching noise when the wheel sounded like it came out of alignment. I was able to turn the wheel to the left but when I turned it to the right, the loud noise happened and the car wouldn't go in that direction. The car has been sitting for 2 weeks now. I'd like to know what is the possible costs to have it fixed?
