Need to check for a break in the red wire from the alternator to the battery or the fusible link (if it has one). Need to use multimeter to see if the battery is getting a charge from the alternator. A full battery will read about 12.4 to 12.6. When the vehicle has started, that should go up to 13.5 to 15.5 volts (depending on the vehicle and alternator.) If this doesn't occur power is not getting to battery.
Do you have a battery warning light illuminated on the dash? If so, you still have a charging system problem. Also check all cables and connections to ensure they are secure and free of any corrosion. The dying concern may not be related to your charging system though. You could also have an engine performance issue that needs looked into.
