I have po325. is this being triggered by the E VAP code?

yes, I know. my question is, once the E VAP is done and I am running properly, should I clear the codes and drive the car to see if the knock sensor code comes back before I go to the expense of replacing the knock sensor? The knock sensor code did not come up the first time the car was scanned. We turned off the misfire #2 and the EGR. E VAP is next, then knock sensor. I was wanting to know if I should turn oof the codes to see if knock sensor comes backafter the E VAP is cleared.

The two codes, evap and knock sensor do not have any commonality. You could clear the code after repairing the evap and see if the knock sensor code reappears. More than likely it will. Drive the car enough to set the OBD monitor for the evap to verify you have repaired that problem. Once you have done that see if you have any pending or permanent codes for the knock sensor.

thank you. So is that 50 miles? I have been told 50 miles (distance) to see if the code triggers, I have also been told that it is "X" miles @ 35mph + "X" miles @ 55mph.... Another question, does the '99 have a window to check the timing belt wear? Timing belt change (water pump, cam, oil plug) will be the next maintence.

Step 2 Accelerate gradually to 32 mph within 35 seconds. Decelerate to 0 mph in 10 seconds. Idle for 40 seconds. Step 3 Accelerate at part throttle to 25 mph in 10 seconds. Cruise at 17-25 mph for 15 seconds. Accelerate gradually to 57 mph in 45 seconds. Cruise at 50-56 mph for 1 minute. Decelerate gradually to 0 mph in 40 seconds. Idle for 15 seconds. Step 4 Accelerate at part throttle to 36 mph and maintain for 10 seconds. Decelerate to 0 mph in 15 seconds. Idle for 5 seconds. Step 5 Accelerate to 30 mph and back to 0 mph within 30 seconds. WOW! that is involved! Thank you so much for your help. This is my first Honda. My son has had 2 and when I have driven them, I have really liked them. Now if I can just get the bugs out of the car and feel like I can trust it not to strand me I will be a very happy woman. Although the car is old and high miles (but not for a Honda) I think it is a good car. It is solid as a rock underneath. I drove my '93 Lumina (223,000mi.) to the bone yard and would still be driving it except for the control arm issue...
