What is your question?
Every 3000 miles I get an oil change All of a sudden the check engine light came on and I was up in the mountains. I stopped and I was down a quart of oil; I am due for an oil change in 500 miles. The code that came up was P1259 V-Tel system failure or 3 other things. I am really worried. I have complained to Honda for over 3 months that when I start the car it idles funny but they check it and cannot find anything. Now I am reading about this code and it could be serious. The oil light did not come on; just the picture of the engine light. Any suggestions? I am bringing it in tomorrow to be looked at but frankly I hardly every trust most mechanics.

Best find one you trust...many good ones exist. Most people fear what they don't know. Mechanics are no different than than any other type of work. Many are very good and are professional...a few are not. Suggest you get recomendations from friends, coworkers for s good technician or shop. Look for ASE certifications and other affiliations like BBB. My guess your car is exspericeing some normal wear and tear issues. Below I have listed the potential causes for that fault code: Potential Causes Low Engine Oil Plugged Oil Passage Insufficient Oil Pressure Plugged Oil Screen Insufficient Oil Volume Defective VTEC Solenoid
if you stop the engine and then turn the key to ignition on doe the oil light come on ? how old is the car ,how many miles has it done ? does it have an oil leak ? or is it burning the oil ? has any one checked the oil pressure switch ? As for a rough idle any mech should able to see what that is , these cars are complicated ,i own one but do my own work What you need to do is go to you tube and type in honda accord you will see a lot of vids on there and a lot of handy information , down load everything you can and put it into a file and check out out problems you may get .
