Feels like motor drops when you start the car

What is your question?

When I shift from Park to drive the car drops when driving when it gets too 2 RPMs the car slows down and it's likeit sounds like it's put putting then I have to keep shifting from neutral to drive to actually get up to speed it's like I'm driving a stick shift

What makes this problem better or worse?

Usually if I can pull out straight without backing up I won't have to shift the gears but driving sometimes it puts again and I will have to shift from drive to neutral and back and forth

How long has your 1999 Honda Accord had this problem?
