I was wanting to know the price of a transmission replacement for 98 accord lx

It depends where you take it, if you go to the dealership it will cost more but it will be done right and warrantied. If you take it to a tranny shop it will be around $4,000 and might have a warranty. If you want it done cheap then take it to some guy who knows how to rebuild a tranny out of his garage.
