Engine dies for no reason while driving

check the spark plugs, they wear out quickly.

Check ignition switch. Mine died twice. '98 Honda Accord - 204k

If the car just goes dead, no lights on in the dash, and the car will start again, it is almost certainly the ignition switch. You do not have to replace the whole ignition key lock, just the switch which is a long cable looking thing. It is relatively easy to do by yourself. Check online for clear instructions to do it.
