What is your question?
I had just filled up with gas and a light came on. I called my service man and he said to come in. He checked and the code referenced something with the torque convertor. After reading on the computer something about an o-ring, he cleared the computer, told me to go on my way and if the light came on again, not to worry BUT if it started blinking to STOP immediately and call a wrecker. After driving about 50 miles, it comes to me that the torque convertor is connected with the transmission!! I stopped and had 2 different places check my transmission fluid and it was EMPTY!!! When I called the serviec tech and asked him why he had not checked my fluid, instead of just sending me on my way, he said he was doing me a favor because he knew I was in a hurry!!! Finally he stated, "LOOK LADY, I AM NOT GOING DOWN FOR A TRANSMISSION JUST BECAUSE I DIDN'T CHECK YOUR FLUID!!" My husband died a few days later and the car has been the last thing on my mind. What can I do? What are the chances my transmission is screwed?? How can I find out because it does seem to be slipping.

I am sorry for your troubles, people are so busy they often overlook the simple things. If the transmission fluid is or was low the transmission has a leak somewhere that needs to be attended to. Whether this leak and subsequent loss of fluid has caused a problem or has contributed to a transmission related failure will have to be determined by a repair shop , these transmissions are pretty rugged but get it checked out by a reputable courteous repair shop hopefully recommended by a friend.
