Oil leak 1997 honda accord 2.7L v6

What is your question?

I have a small oil leak coming down and burning off the exhaust manifold. How do I diagnose whether it's the head gasket or the small cover below the valve cover? The valve cover gasket is intact and not leaking. Please help with part names and part numbers to get replacement parts and tips for repair.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Leak is worse when engine is warm or operating temp

Hello, the best tips would be to clean all oil from the affected area and see where it is coming from fresh. Repair shops typically add an ultraviolet dye to the engine oil so that a black light can be employed to help detect the source of the leak. Other than that, it's guesswork. So I'd suggest the dye for sure, but at the very least, thoroughly clean the affected area to properly evaluate it. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
