my speedometer stopped working about a week ago I changed the batery in my car and it aorked for two days then the problem came back.my check engine light is on and i need te timing ajusted how do i fix this problem?

the check engine light is from the speedo not working. check the connections on the passenger side of the car down by the axle shaft. Roy
try ignition switch, my entire dashboard stopped working and started again when we replaced the ignition switch
i took it to a shop and they told me i need a vss sensor will that fix the problem?
