The car won't start. It won't even attempt to start with starter fluid sprayed into the throttle. What do you think that could be?

1ST thing you need to do is see if it has spark. If you have no spark remove distributor cap and see if rotor spins when engine is cranked over. If it spins you've probably lost coil which is integrated into distributor( replace distributor). If it does not spin you have broken the timing belt.
