Brake lights

there is a switch on the pedal that needs to be replaced. you can buy the part at any parts store and is a simple job to replace. Roy

There is a small 'button' on the bracket that is directly above the brake light switch. Made of plastic. When it breaks (I found broken pieces of black plastic on my driver's side floor mat), the brake switch plunger extends slightly and the brake lights stay on. Noticed the brake lights on when I walked into the garage after getting the mail. Just a couple bucks from Honda to get the right part. I found a plastic plug that pushed into the bracket hole that worked till I had time to stop by the dealer. Simple fix but if you don't fix it, it will kill your battery and likely overheat the brake light sockets.
