Temp gauge reading hot 92 Honda Accord

What is your question?

Changed the Thermostat sending unit, an radiator cap.. While driving temp gauge goes almost to red, stop at light goes to normal... There is no smoke, no steaming, no smelling of antifreeze,...I do however have my fans, both rigged up using a wire..since replacing all these the car actually runs better

What makes this problem better or worse?

While driving makes it worse.. Heat on blast an stopped at red lights brings it to normal
