the s after driving it comes on and stays on, but blinks, and the steering is tuff to turn, then seems to loosen, then tough again. I just bought this car. what do you thinkis the problem? thanks

The blinking S light has to do with your transmission. When it flashes it is flashing the fault code ie: 8 flashes is code 8, 4 flashes is a code 4 and so on. I think your steering issue is a separate concern, more than likely you need a power steering rack assy or pump, or BOTH in most cases. As for your S light the most common failure I have seen is the Transmission Control Module.
