What is your question?
I just bought a 1990 Honda Accord LX with just 88,000 original miles. Can I wait to 100,000 miles to get the timing belt replaced?

Not really, because the age of the rubber of the belt is in question. The rubber is like tire rubber, it gets cracks and then tears apart. If you plan to keep the car, do the belt and water pump ASAP.
the belt is 20 years old, replace it and the waterpump, check the tensioner pulley also
