light on dash board

Ok I checked the sensor pack and wires ,Then I checked the computer box under the passenger seat replaced the computer boxes. now it changes good.The only thing is the light is still on and the computer boxes have a different number does that matter.

Hi Yes it can make a difference but if it's shifting and your happy leave it alone (hope it's your personal car). Try to disconnect the negitave cable and hold the brake pedal down for 10 seconds and reconnect and see if light goes out. Also you can remove the back up fuse #24 7.5 amp fuse and wait 10 seconds and re-install. Hopes this helps. RJ

I've heard the TCU can be the problem.

Have been driving our 90 Honda Accord for 2yrs with flashing "S" light and transmission is still working good, so I wonder what its trying to tell me !! It does not need fluid or fluid change, so I carry on cruising.
