What is your question?
I have a 1989 Honda Accord SE-i.......(that's not a typo!) with 155, 000 genuine klms on it. Recently the "thumbnail" image of the car (on the dashboard) that indicates one or other of the doors has not been shut properly....started to show a red light indicating that the trunk door was not shut properly.......the trunk door is quite quirky and sometimes needs to be slammed shut vigorously, or -- as it pleases -- shuts first time with minimum effort. I'm figuring that the mechanism that triggers the thumbnail light being on somehow relies on something simple near the trunk "door latch".....something that shifts position when closed and causes the light to go off.......that's as far as I got.......please tell me IF and HOW a simple adjustment might be made to eliminate this problem......it is disconcerting driving with the "trunk is still open" light glowing -- even when I know for sure that puppy is slammed shut tighter than a clam......thanks for your time and attention....:=)
