I have a Yukon hybrid, I was driving and I noticed it wouldn't go into electric mode when at a stop light, all of a sudden in the middle of driving, it jerked forward and stalled. check engine light came on and onstar stated that there was a problem with the electric propulsion system. took it to GMC dealer and they cant figure out what is wrong with it. Thank you in advance.

Hello, Unfortunately, I have never heard this problem description before. Also, if technicians with hands-on cannot find the issue, anything someone has to say online will be guesswork. See if any of the technicians in their shop have been to the factory hybrid drive training, and, if not, take it to a GMC dealer that has the proper training.
Hi, I have the same problem with my 2008 You know Hybrid. I have taken it to the dealership many times and they can't find the answer. It is getting worse and now I am told I need a new Hybrid battery. GMC charges close to $5000.00 dollars for this service. I can't help but think the stopping was a result of needing a new battery and it should have been fixed while still under warranty.
My 2008 Yukon Hybrid does this exact same thing. No warning, just an abrupt stop. A rear end collision is inevitable . I have taken my Yukon in with no luck, During my research however, I did find there is a recall on some of the newer model Hybrids , for this same issue. I don't know why the 2008 was not included
