Running hot

The engine's cooling system is comprised of not only the thermostat and water pump but all the hoses, coolant passages in the engine, the heater core, the radiator, a radiator / reservoir cap that maintains system pressure and a cooling fan that continues circulating air through the radiator when the vehicle Is moving slowly or is stopped. Something in that system has stopped operating properly.
