The front two seats in my 2005 Denali will not work. They will not move and the seat heat will not turn on. How can I fix this?

My question back is are the right side door windows affected also on your 2005 GMC Yukon Danali? If so, chances are the 50A MBEC1 maxi fuse in the under hood fuse box is blown. If you find the fuse blown then there is a damaged wire between the fuse box and one of the seats. If the fuse is not blown the next step would be to check for power on the large orange wire under each seat.
yes the right side door windows are also affected. I will check that fuse and the wires. Thanks for you help.
Hello, I have been searching all over for the answer you gave here. I just checked my fuse and sure enough it is blown. I'm not very good with wiring, any further info you can give me? I'd really appreciate it.
The most common places to have problems with the wiring in this circuit would be near the parking brake ratchet under the affected seat and inside the affected. Look for damaged insulation one a rather large red or orange wire in these areas.
To be more specific, I pulled my seats out to shampoo the carpets without disconnecting the battery which after the fact I realized I was supposed to do. Could that have possibly caused the fuse to blow or is there probably still a wiring issue? Thanks
Pulling the seats out without disconnecting the battery should not have caused the fuse to blow. However, it could have blown while you were shampooing the carpet. I would try just replacing the fuse and see if it blows again. If it does then you should begin checking the wiring.
