The shift solenoids are part of the valve body but there isn't a 'reverse solenoid,' I don't think, there're shift solenoids A and B. I think reverse is handled by the manual valve. Get a good shop manual and study it to find out how it works or ask a transmission expert in a transmission shop..

I agree with Bob. there is no solenoid for reverse. If it is not going into reverse, it could be valve body or a band failure. Roy
