Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Those two codes together are giving us some useful information. The P0001 code relates to the fuel volume regulator control circuit which affects how fuel is delivered to the engine, and the C0009 is tied to the brake pressure sensor circuit. When the vehicle's computer sees faults like these it can put the transmission into limp mode as a protective measure to prevent further damage. The brake pressure sensor code is particularly interesting since some GM vehicles use brake pressure data as part of their transmission control strategy. Before replacing parts a thorough inspection of the fuel pressure regulator and brake pressure sensor wiring and connections would be a smart starting point.
