What is your question?
what would make my 2015 Terrain sound like a motorcycle when pushing on the gas pedal. This started a week ago.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Don't know. You can drive it normally and then when you stop and startup again it suddenly makes that loud noise.

Hi, I'm Bogi, one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Sorry to hear that you are having car troubles. A motorcycle-like sound on acceleration is definitely something worth getting checked out! On your 2015 GMC Terrain that kind of loud rumbling or roaring noise that comes and goes is most commonly caused by a failing wheel bearing, which can produce exactly that kind of cyclical noise that changes with vehicle speed and load. However since you mentioned it happens specifically when pushing the gas pedal, an exhaust leak is another strong possibility, as a crack or failed gasket in the exhaust manifold can produce a loud rumbling or popping sound under acceleration that can sound surprisingly similar to a motorcycle. Since exhaust leaks can allow harmful gases into the cabin and a failing wheel bearing can affect vehicle safety, I’d recommend having this looked at sooner rather than later. A qualified shop should be able to identify the source pretty quickly.
