I had the same problem with my 97 Sonoma, V-6 SLS. Turns out, it was the fuel sender unit. The fuel tank has to be removed to replace. Had it replaced and she is back running like new with 134,000 miles on the odometer. Lots of luck.I love this truck BTW!!
