Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Sonoma. When a truck has trouble starting in the rain, it's usually due to moisture affecting the ignition system. The most likely culprits are worn spark plug wires or the distributor cap. Moisture can enter these components and prevent the spark from reaching the plugs. I would recommend checking the spark plug wires and distributor cap for cracks or signs of wear. Replacing them may solve the issue, as moisture can easily affect old or damaged components. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
