Engine starts and stays running on idle. When accelerator is pressed it tries to stall out. Recently replaced the fuel pump and filter. Can’t find any vacuum leaks. Cleaned sensors on intake and crankshaft. No codes currently on the OBD scan tool.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It runs worse when in drive

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. What was the purpose of replacing the fuel pump and filter? Did you verify insufficient or bleeding down fuel pressure? If not, this was a waste of money and time and effort -- not to mention you could make things worse than they are. If you stall when trying to accelerate, it would seem to me there is a very large air intake leak allowing air into the engine when it is not needed, or in quantities that cannot possible match the fuel. Alternatively, you could zero air flow at all, due to some kind of restriction. You could also have an exhaust restriction - this would show up for sure when trying t accelerate. Hands on testing is needed to get to the bottom of your problem. I suggest reaching out to a competent local shop near you for guidance.
