I can get truck to roll off but want start with the key. Alright replaced the starter and gets to hot using a toggle switch

I don't know what "rolling it off" means. You can't just replace the ignition switch and key cylinder with a toggle switch. Restore the vehicle to factory condition, and recheck operation of components properly. Repair the components to factory condition and all will resolve. You may need some professional guidance.
